兄弟会和姐妹会生活

韦德体育app官网有一个充满活力的兄弟会 & 女生联谊会生活(FSL)校园社区. This community consists of 17 fraternities and sororities that are governed by our four different FSL councils: College 泛希腊议会, 全国泛希腊理事会, 奥克兰兄弟会理事会, 和希腊议会. Each organization, or chapter,  is unique in its own values, ideals, philanthropy, rituals, and more. 韦德体育app官网 students have the opportunity to join the FSL community at any point during their undergraduate career and create bonds that will last a lifetime.

Throughout the school year our fraternities and sororities hold different events that focus on philanthropy, service, 和兄弟/姐妹. Some events are even planned to strengthen bonds with other FSL organizations of the same or different councils. Joining a fraternity or sorority will not only help you create bonds with like minded individuals but will help you grow and develop as an individual and leader. This college experience will help you to get involved with volunteer based organizations, 获得学术支持, 并与你的章节内外的人建立联系.

Greek Council

Greek Council is the governing body for all Greek-lettered organizations that fall under the 兄弟会和姐妹会生活 umbrella. This council’s purpose is to create unity among the different chapters and councils while also contributing to the personal development of each individual member. Greek Council holds different events to bring Fraternity and Sorority members together, 他们最大的活动是希腊周, 哪个是每年春天举行的. Those who are on Greek Council serve as a key communicator for all things 兄弟会和姐妹会生活 while also working to better the community of 韦德体育app官网. Greek Council consists of an executive board, committee chairs, and chapter representatives. These leaders work collaboratively to support their member organizations and have meetings one Sunday a month at 2 pm.

The National 泛希腊议会 is the umbrella organization for 26 different national and international sororities, 其中有5个在韦德体育app官网. 我们的泛希腊理事会由Alpha Delta Pi组成, Alpha Sigma Tau, Gamma Phi Beta, Phi Sigma Sigma, 和Sigma Sigma Sigma. The 泛希腊议会 puts on several events throughout the school year that focus on service, philanthropy, and sisterhood. The 泛希腊议会 general body meetings take place every other Sunday at 4 pm.

奥克兰兄弟会理事会

The 奥克兰兄弟会理事会 consists of three national/international fraternities that fall under the North American Interfraternity Council. 这些兄弟会包括Alpha Sigma Phi, Sigma Pi和Theta Chi. On campus, the 奥克兰兄弟会理事会 is seen putting on different social and philanthropic events that are open to the student body as well as brotherhood events that strengthen their own bonds. The 奥克兰兄弟会理事会 chapters strive to better the communities they’re a part of while focusing on leadership and scholarship. The general body meetings of the 奥克兰兄弟会理事会 take place every other Sunday at 3 pm. To get more involved in the 奥克兰兄弟会理事会 after joining a chapter, one could run for an executive board position or become their chapters representative.

全国泛希腊理事会

The 全国泛希腊理事会 is made up of nine traditionally African American sororities and fraternities known as the Divine Nine. 韦德体育app官网 currently has seven of the Divine Nine including Alpha Phi Alpha博爱公司.卡帕·阿尔法·普赛兄弟会.， Omega Psi Phi兄弟会，Inc.， Delta Sigma Theta姐妹会.， Phi Beta Sigma兄弟会，Zeta Phi Beta姐妹会.和约塔菲西塔兄弟会. The nine organizations were created as a safe haven for African American students in a time where they were not offered the same opportunities as white students. The 全国泛希腊理事会 still focuses on fostering social change and taking action within the community. Though the 全国泛希腊理事会 chapters are historically Black, 任何背景的人都可以加入. Two of the biggest events that 韦德体育app官网’s 全国泛希腊理事会 puts on are a yearly fashion show and a yard show. 一旦加入泛希腊国家委员会, one can get more involved in the chapter by joining the executive board. 理事会每月在星期日下午6点举行一次会议.

Multicultural Greek organizations are created for people of all backgrounds and interests to come together in one organization. 泽塔西格玛奇多元文化联谊会. strives to create true lifelong friendships among women of diverse heritages while upholding the values of their founders.
