“I could have gone just about anywhere I wanted to go,” Moretuzzo says. “Initially, I thought that it would be a really big school. Michigan State, 大学 of Michigan or Western Michigan were high on my list. 然后, I noticed that 奥克兰 大学’s School of Business Administration (SBA) really had a lot to offer.”

The school’s double accreditation, along with an environment where Moretuzzo felt he could get more one-on-one attention with professors and SBA support staff, started to shift Moretuzzo’s attention to 奥克兰 大学.

“When I actually came and visited the campus was when OU really stood out to me,” he explains. “I love the campus. And I love the surrounding area.”

The opportunity to be a part of the university’s men’s hockey team, as well as the chance to receive a quality education at a reasonable cost also helped tip the scales toward OU. Moretuzzo got involved both on campus and off, in the Business Honors Program and Financial Management Association, 举几个例子.

Anchoring the entire experience at OU, though, has been the SBA. “The support and encouragement I get from the school is amazing,” Moretuzzo says. “They’re always there for me, making sure I stay on the right path and have everything I need to succeed. And, they’re right in the middle of so much business and industry. They have so many great connections and that gives students real opportunities.”

Once Moretuzzo graduates, which is slated for spring 2023, the finance major with an economics minor will likely begin his career in financial planning with Plante Moran in Auburn Hills. However, as exciting as life beyond OU is, he admits he will miss plenty.

“I will definitely miss the people in the SBA a lot,” he admits. “I learn and grow from them every single day.”

Right now, however, Moretuzzo plans on enjoying the rest of his time as a student at OU. “I’m just going to continue to work hard and make the most of every day I’m a student here,” he says. “I just love where I’m at. 真的.
